Located in the rugged Peruvian Andes, this educational complex harmonizes modern architecture with ancestral heritage. Drawing from traditional "Putuco" constructions, the design reinterprets modularity within a challenging mountainous context. The building features a fluid relationship between interior nomadic spaces and the vast external landscape, creating a cohesive identity that honors the site’s geographical significance. This morphology allows for an organic transition where the built environment acts as a bridge between historical vernacular and future-oriented design, fostering a deep sense of place.
Our strategy utilized genetic algorithms to optimize structural performance and environmental resilience. The design integrates a hybrid "Quincha" and steel system, merging traditional craft with contemporary engineering. The innovative roof serves as an active environmental device for rainwater harvesting and solar absorption, while native planting ensures a biodiversity-focused footprint. Offering multifunctional spaces like laboratories and large-scale atriums, the project reflects our expertise in high-complexity architecture that prioritizes community well-being and technological innovation in high-altitude terrains for future generations.
