Banias Resort is a visionary architectural reinterpretation of the Hula Valley’s hydrological heritage, situated within the ecological heart of the Great Rift Valley. Operating under the premise that architecture should follow the land rather than dominate it, the project integrates luxury hospitality with a productive and restorative landscape. Our design employs a "rippled landscape" morphology, where sculptural buildings and marshland platforms coexist with a network of ponds, creating a fluid transition between the built environment and the valley's natural geology.
The guest experience is defined by five horticultural layers that foster a symbiotic relationship with the local ecosystem. Architectural units prioritize energy efficiency through green roofs that provide thermal insulation and vital habitats for migratory birds. By elevating the structures to minimize soil intrusion and employing "zero waste" principles, the project maintains a light footprint. Banias Resort exemplifies our commitment to creating spaces that harmonize human life with environmental preservation, ensuring a resilient ecosystem and a thriving legacy for future generations.
