Parameters, Values and Tacit Forms of Algorithms
This article presents Relational Urban Models (RUMs) as tools for participatory design. The authors explore translating parametric data into shared values and tacit algorithms. Through projects in China and Brazil, they demonstrate how these models function as negotiation devices, integrating social and spatial decisions to build resilient and collaborative urban landscapes.
